![]() ![]() Without those, I’m going into the end game without a starting set bonus, which has been particularly painful, as it means that I’m having to use builds without set bonuses, and most of what I need to do to advance requires more oomph than you can get without a set. From what I’ve read, the set that they give you this season is powerful, but is almost useless without a couple of very specific, very rare items (Haunted Visions and Gelmindor’s Marrow Guards). It looks like I picked the wrong season to try a necromancer. This time, with the altar mechanic, I decided to try and push further, so I started a necromancer (after years of hearing how powerful they were.) I powered up to 70 in a day in Adventure Mode, then knocked off the remaining chapter content to unlock my set, mostly playing at Torment IV. ![]() Now I gotta go see if some of my re-rolls are way off of Maxroll's advice because of Icy.I generally play the seasons up through Chapter IV in order to get the easy unlocks, then retire that character. That was a big enough misstep to lose my trust. And Icy was like go Diamond in Leorics for Cooldown and Sliver of terror in Andariel's Visage for Fire Damage (which was good advice). The 'error' was that in "Item Stat Priorities" it shows Andariel's Visage recommended gem as a flawless royal diamond, but in the various build option graphics on the same page it's never there. ![]() The reason I fell in the Icy Veins camp (until now after reading all these comments lmao) was because I found an error in the Maxroll LoD Blessed Shield Build guide I was using for my GF so I was like, "ok I now trust icy more," lol. I liked the written advice better on icy veins, but I really appreciated the multiple build options (solo, group, etc) on maxroll. In the end I'm still checking both, but I ended up feeling like Ice Veins was better only not as slick of a website. ![]() I've been vacillating between the two (also re-visiting the game after a decade and doing a monk mystic ally build) because about 94.37% of the advice is the same. ![]()
